Hi, I'm Gagandeep, I rebuilt and retrained my mind to go from being a procrastinating anxious perfectionist living life on the hamster wheel where 24/7 productivity and work were my bestest of friends,
to now decoding my mind and emotions to live anxiety-free, save myself from a mental breakdown by reprogramming my mind to work for me. Today as a certified coach I help others to hit the reset button on their doubtful minds to play life full out.
When you find yourself asking the same question, 'how did I get here, again?!'
It's time to find the answer or find a better question.
March 2019, I was done, done chasing my happiness on the hamster wheel, I was done working 14 hours a day, I was done grinding, and most of all, done living with anxiety and stress.
Despite having everything working for me, what seemed career-wise.
Inside I knew it was time to pick up the pen for the first time to write 'me' on my to-do list.
I took the daring plunge and handed in my resignation.
Can ambitious strivers take a holiday? That was the plan, then dive back into a corporate job by Autumn.
I left with the question that how did I create this life for myself? And allow my work to consume me? But truth be told, I allowed myself to be consumed on the excitement.
Our reality is a shadow of our thoughts. For a long time, I lived with the belief that I 'have to be' productive otherwise, I'm not good enough.
I took it up as a task to change up my limiting thoughts and behaviours before starting a new role. Little did I know life would present new assignments and lessons for me to do just this and a little bit extra.
I found myself carrying all my old working behaviours into my new spaces and hit a roadblock after roadblock after roadblock.
I went into my emotional turmoil of unresolved issues and baggage I was carrying around for a decade, resulting in my verge of mental breakdown.
Situations or environments don't create the change. It comes from within. This was my time for a radical change because when you hit your rock-bottom too many times, only then you accept it's time for a drastic change.
This I did using the strategic thinker and striver that I am to help me overcome the fears of a perfectionist and self-doubter, release myself from the grips of anxiety from spreading through my mind and body, and start to rewire my mind to work for me and not against me. Was I sitting in my best jumper sipping coffee watching the sunrise while I did this?. No, but as they say change can be ugly at the beginning, challenging in the middle but beautiful at the end.
It started with the decision. A decision to no longer be consumed by my rock bottoms and watch my life pass me by. (Not to mention the emotional turmoil that tags along with this).
Certain rock bottoms shake you to your core that were meant for your life assignment. The universe only hands you what You Can Handle. This has been a great statement to help me through dark tough times. So, I've taken it upon myself to support as many ambitious strivers to overcome their chains of fears, negative thoughts, anxious racing minds, self doubt and feelings of low self worth by empowering them with my one message. No matter how impossible the situation may seem You have the power to reprogram your mind.
